Elite OC Productions was excited to be involved in the full production of the White Party on Saturday evening, August 29, 2015. The event was hosted by Nicole Donovan of Surterre Properties and Renee Dee of Black, Starr & Frost at a private residence in Corona del Mar. This party was Nicole and Renee’s “Client Appreciation Party” to show their clients how much they appreciate their business.
Starting with Save the Dates and invitations to designing the décor and providing the entertainment, Elite OC Productions managed the entire event from beginning to end. We created custom, all white invitations that were embellished with rhinestones and a touch of gold accents. These beautiful invitations were packaged inside a clean white box and wrapped with a white satin ribbon with the guests name on the outside. These sleek invitations were hand delivered to each guest.
As guests arrived wearing white, the valet attendants also dressed in all white were there to greet them. At the entrance of the party, guests walked the white carpet to the step and repeat with both of the host’s logos and were able to take a photo. Once they took their photos, they entered the homes courtyard where they were greeted with tray passed wine and champagne. In the courtyard we set up clean white lounge furniture as well as all white cocktail tables that had pretty white centerpieces. Since it was a hot summer day, we had a white cabana that was draped with white organza fabric with more white lounge furniture inside. We also had large white umbrellas outside to provide shade. At the top of the pool, there was a variety of clear acrylic columns of varying heights. On top of the columns, there was a mix of staggered cylinders with floating candles and white ceramic vases with beautiful white roses coming out in different directions.
During cocktail hour, Mark’s Catering provided a variety of delicious tray passed hors d’oeuvres such as, Cilantro Lime Shrimp Skewers, Langostino Lobster Tempura Skewers, Boneless Beef Short Ribs in a Potato Cup, Bleu Cheese Stuffed Dates wrapped in Prosciutto and Ahi Tuna Poke in a crisp Wonton Boat. In the courtyard, the bar had signature summer cocktails as well as a white signature drink. After guests mingled with refreshing cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres, we had a surprise performance at the pool by a group of synchronized swimmers from the Meraquas of Irvine! The girls were dressed in white bathing suits and swim caps and performed 3 different routines to “Happy” by Pharrell, “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole and “Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend”. It was an incredible performance that guests really enjoyed!
Out on the back deck there was more white lounge furniture including high white cocktail tables with gorgeous white centerpieces and white umbrellas to keep the heat at bay. We also had white communal tables with white leather bar stools that faced toward the breath taking view of the sunset over the ocean. On top of the communal tables were long silver mirrored boxes filled with beautiful white roses. The bar was Designer 8’s White and Mirrored Reflection bar with a unique all white back bar that was adorned with floating candles and wonderfully white flowers. Mark’s Catering provided an amazing Gourmet Slider Station that everyone really enjoyed. Guests were able to go down to the lawn and enjoy a friendly game of Croquet on the Green.
Inside there was an elaborate cheese and charcuterie display that was decorated with gorgeous and grand all white flowers from Paul Fenner Florals. On the kitchen island was an all white dessert display that featured white candies and chocolates, white truffles, white macaroons, white chocolate covered strawberries and more!
The evening was spent mingling and spending time in different areas of the gorgeous home. One of the guests even played a few songs on an existing piano in the living room. Everyone loved the impromptu performance! As guests left the party, they were handed gift bags provided by both Nicole Donovan and Renee Dee.
Elite OC Productions had a fantastic time working with these wonderful ladies. The event turned out beautiful and we are excited to work with them in the future!
White parties have been an ever expanding trend for years and Elite OC Productions is so excited to be putting one together this weekend!
The ultimate white party is spent with close friends, drinking fabulous cocktails and enjoying delicious bite-sized food. Your white party can have a clean, modern vibe or you may opt for a retro chic look. When throwing an event like this, don’t forget to add your own personal touch. Ironically, when throwing a white party, the décor doesn’t necessarily have to be limited to an all-white color scheme… colored accents are a great way to add your own flair.
When choosing an accent color, think neutrals, ie. gold, blush, silver. Choosing a neutral accent keeps your event elegant, simple and fresh. First thing you should consider when putting together your décor is seating… White lounge furniture with accented pillows for guests to relax is key. It is a good idea to have a few high cocktail tables with either white or accented linens where guests can enjoy their cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. As far as centerpieces go, keep it classy with simple white flowers in a clear vase. If your soiree is in the evening, make sure to consider lighting. String lights are always a good idea! White paper lanterns and candles will also add a beautiful glow to your event.
Incorporating a couple signature “white” cocktails is a fun and festive addition! To integrate your accent color, if you’ve chosen one, try decorating the rim of the glass with appropriately colored edible sprinkles. Your hors d’oeuvres should also represent the theme. Think white truffle mac and cheese, raviolis with a creamy white sauce, lemon sorbet, white cake pops etc. For dessert, you can also do an all-white candy or dessert bar! Mirrored trays are a great trick for adding depth to your food station.
As far as entertainment goes, a photo booth with all white props would go great with the theme. Another good idea would be to have the prints in black and white with your events “logo” and date at the bottom. You can opt for double prints and leave a clean, white guest book for your guests to stick their photo and leave you a nice message. The photo booth will double as entertainment and a memento for your guests to remember your party by!
