Napa Institute 2014

Blog1Elite OC Productions had the privilege of being a part of the 4th Annual Napa Institute this past July. This Catholic Conference was held July 24th-27th at the

Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa, California. The guest count at this year’s conference exceeded all the others with over 350 guests in attendance, some of which were very notable people. The mission of the ever-growing Napa Institute is to help Catholic leaders face the challenges of the modern day. The weeks schedule was filled with noteworthy speakers, daily sessions, and Masses.

Elite OC Productions was readily available to assist in various aspects of the event. We assisted with registration and activities on a daily basis. Elite OC Productions also played a key role in the production and management of all of the evening receptions and dinners. Each night held a different theme and a different style of entertainment. After each dinner event there was an option to relax, see a movie or a play in one of the hotel’s ballrooms. There was also an evening cigar lounge where guests were able to socialize.

The conference kicked off on Wednesday evening with a pre-conference Trinitas Wine Reception and a spiritual concert by Eric Genuis. The concert took place at the Vineyard Terrace which is located at the top of the hotel’s private vineyards; there was a breathtaking view that made this concert even more spiritual. This was an incredible evening enjoyed by all. Upon arrival that evening, guests enjoyed the hosted Trinitas Cocktail Reception in the vineyards, and proceeded to the top of the hill at the Gazebo Deck to enjoy the concert of Eric Genuis. Guests were raving about the talent of Eric Genuis and were able to purchase CD’s at the conclusion of the concert. Thereafter, the guests were able to enjoy a sit down dinner. Elite OC Production’s role in this evening’s event included registration and the décor of the wine reception. The wine reception had cocktail tables made from wine barrels that were adorned with grape vines.

Thursday night was a buffet style dinner at Crush Extravaganza! This was a fun and exciting evening filled with interactive games and décor. In the onsite restaurant called Crush, there was also a six-lane bowling alley that was rented out just for Napa Institute for all guests to enjoy. Since the weather was so beautiful, the dinner was directly outside of Crush on the Oakville Terrace. The tables were decorated with a red linen and pool ball vases that were filled with beautiful white Hydrangeas. Elite OC Productions organized all of the décor and entertainment, some of which included giant balloon trees and wine based casino games. During the wine games, guests were able to do a blind wine tasting and had to guess which country the wine originated from. The sommelier would give the guests various hints to hopefully lead them towards the correct guess.

Friday was a very exciting day! During the day there were various activities that guests had the opportunity to participate in. These events varied from cooking classes to wine tastings to playing golf. Elite OC Productions split up and staffed these various activities as well as took care of the registration. All of the guests had a great time and enjoyed taking a break from the everyday presentations and doing something a little bit different. Friday night was an extravagant event that exceeded all expectations. The theme of this evening was Dinner with a Bishop and a Winery. Each table had a designated bishop as well as an assigned winery. Guests were taken on a trip around the world! Each table represented a different country through the table décor, the food and the wine pairings. Elite OC Productions staff members each chose a country and created their own tables and experience. The countries included, France, Italy, Japan, Thailand, and USA. Every table was thoroughly thought out and very elegantly represented the different cultures. The menu was also part of this unique experience. There were 5 courses and each course brought in a taste of each country. All of the countries had 2 or more tables, and each table was paired with a different winery from around the Napa Valley area. Every course was paired with a different wine to complement the dish. This was a very successful event and guests raved that it was their favorite night of the entire conference!

The final day of the conference was on Saturday. Saturday evening was a formal black and white dinner, which also included a few speakers and awards. The décor of this night included white linens, white Chiavari Chairs with black pads and silver vases of varying sizes with clouds of white million stars accompanied by a variety of votives and. It was very simple and clean yet elegant evening. The evening concluded with a chocolate bar and a small performance from Eric Genuis. This was yet another successful evening where everyone was able to socialize and enjoy themselves before they all went their separate ways.

Elite OC Productions had such an amazing time in Napa. It was a pleasure to work with the entire staff at the Napa Institute. All four days were a huge success and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We look forward to another amazing conference in 2015!Blog-Eric Blog-Eric2 Blog-Eric3
