80′s Themed Birthday Party!

10300293_772672849434040_4772950476078249748_nElite OC Productions had a blast producing the private 50th birthday party in Laguna Beach on May 24th, 2014. This 80’s rock and funk themed birthday party was a rather intimate affair with 75 friends and family. All guests were required to dress in 80’s attire. The invitations for this event were e-vites rather than the more traditional printed invitation. These creative invitations had famous 80’s band album covers, such as ACDC, Michael Jackson, and Journey, and we inserted the birthday boy’s face as the lead singer.

We were able to put in a lot of creativity for the décor transformation. The outdoor fireplace was transformed into a rock vignette. There was a metallic silver leather couch as well as a black leather couch, both decorated with leopard and pink lip accent pillows. The rock vignette included a red velvet high heel chair, a zebra rug, and a black and red zebra ottoman. The indoor living space was transformed into a funk room. Some of the décor included a yellow shag rug, a funky gold coffee table, beanbags, and funky white furniture. The pool was decorated with an oversized swan, large beach balls, and blow up guitars. There were also tons of neon glow bracelets, necklaces, and glasses for when it got dark to help light up the party! There were rockin’ food trays passed around throughout the night for guests to enjoy. The dessert station ranged from a fun cookie station where guests were able to create their own cookie sandwiches to 80’s cupcakes.

The party was filled with exciting entertainment. Upon arrival, a trampolinist dressed in a total 80s funk outfit performed various stunts. Since the birthday boy races trucks for a living, there was an almost life-size cutout of his race truck with him in the drivers seat for the guests to take a photo with. The photos were taken with an old school Polaroid camera, and guests were able to pin their photos on a board and write a birthday message. This was a fun and unique replacement for a boring traditional guestbook. Before we sang Happy Birthday, a video montage of the birthday boy’s life was shown and proceeding that, funky 80’s cupcakes with candles were brought out for him to blow out. The party was non-stop fun, guests were able to enjoy Ping Pong, Caricature Artists, Strolling Magician, Hula Hoop, Bubbles and special dance performances. Oh, and of course there was a DJ! He played everything from 80’s hits from Michael Jackson all the way to modern hits by Katy Perry. Guests danced the night away on a black and white checkered dance floor. Everyone had the time of their lives…they kept the party rollin’ until 2AM!

Sage Hill Spring Benefit

10428535_774257462608912_647081508950079508_nElite OC Productions was in charge of the Silent Auction for the Sage Hill School Spring Benefit on May 10th, 2014 at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach. The theme for this event was “”Spring Time in Napa”. This elegant, fun filled evening was meant to celebrate the Sage Hill Community. Guests enjoyed a hosted reception, a silent and live auction, fabulous student performances, and a dining experience that was unforgettable. Among those in attendance were, Sage Hill parents, faculty and staff. All underwriting and sponsorship opportunities benefitted the people and programs that make Sage Hill extraordinary.

Elite OC Productions designed, displayed and assisted with administering the silent auction. We presented the chairs and committee of Sage Hill with a mockup of the entire silent auction design including the silent auction baskets, description boards, the numbers, and signage. The final design we all agreed upon was, wooden boxes instead of baskets which were dressed up with alternating natural tan and green bows, grapes, and burlap bows, and the silent auction boards were made with custom wrapped burlap. Elite OC Productions also designed and printed all signage for the event. The day of the event, Elite OC Productions designed and set up the entire silent and live auction and at the end, moved the silent auction items to checkout. It was an overall exciting and successful benefit.

2014 Curator

CO1A9107Elite OC Productions was responsible for the full production of the SANDOW Media Curator Event on May 2nd, 2014 at the acclaimed Lyon Air Museum located behind John Wayne Airport, Orange County. This world-class luxury event brought together over 500 guests of the elite society of Southern California and the top luxury brands and products. Some of the partners at the event were, Aston Martin, AIG, Martin Katz, Rolls Royce, Vertu, TCS Expeditions, Porsche Design, Beretta, Leisure Society, Hundred Acre, David August, The Residences at the Ritz Carlton, Dove Mountain, Tesla, Stella Artois, Ploom, Global Genes, and Red O Restaurant. SANDOW Media was also able to showcase several of their brands. Some of which included, Worth, New Beauty, Luxe Interiors + Design, and Watch Journal.

This year’s theme of the Curator Event was “Golden Age of Hollywood”. When guests arrived at valet, they were greeted by some of the most well-known Hollywood celebrities, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart, and Charlie Chaplin. These famous celebrities were carrying a framed Worth Magazine cover on their shoulder. They also had a photo opportunity in front of a large replica of the Hollywood Sign. The registration table had director’s chairs and was adorned with Oscars.  Other décor included large movie set lights and cameras, film reels, clapboards and even a Hollywood Walk of Fame. Each star had a partner’s name along with a symbol that represented their company.

Each Partner was given a vignette to showcase their newest luxury products to their top consumers. In front of their vignette stood a large stand up clapboard with their name and logo on it. SANDOW had a New Beauty Lounge, which included skin care products from Taut, Memoire Liquide, Leisure Society, The Blend by Fred Segal, Coola, Klorane, ReVive, Miracle 10, Colorscience, Glo Therapeutics, and Eau Thermale Avene. Inside this interactive lounge, guests were able to try some of these new products and take home samples. Some partners such as Tesla, Aston Martin, and Red O Restaurant had their displays out on the tarmac where guests were able to watch the planes land and take off from John Wayne Airport.

The Lyon Air Museum has a small marquee theatre where Casablanca played throughout the night. Outside of the theatre was a candy bar display of a variety of old fashion candy such as Salt Water Taffy, Red Hots, Boston Baked Beans, and Chuckles. There was also an interactive photo booth with an old fashion feel. A variety of old Hollywood props were available such as boas, top hats, academy awards and pearls.

Elite OC Productions worked closely with Sandow Media throughout the entire planning process of the Curator Event. Together, we came up with unique designs and concepts that coincided with the Golden Age theme. Elite OC Productions helped design the vignettes and presented Sandow with a catalog, which had a variety of design elements and furnishings for the partner’s vignettes that fit the theme while still representing their respective brands. We attended multiple site visits with the client and vendors and handled the overall design and logistics.
